Candidate Filing
The filing period for candidates is officially open! The City of Pine Island has the following positions on the ballot in November:
City Council (two (2) seats) - Four (4) year terms.
Mayor - Two (2) year term.
Filing for the above offices is open Tuesday July 30th and will close Tuesday August 13th at 5pm. Candidates must file at City Hall, 250 S Main St Pine Island Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. The cost for filing is $2. Candidates for these offices must be:
- Eligible to vote
- Will be 21 years old on assuming office
- Will have been a city resident for 30 days before the general election
The deadline to withdraw after filing is August 15th at 5pm.
