Pine Island has wonderful parks and paved trails to enjoy—from a casual stroll to a fun game of pickleball! Download our parks map and explore the great outdoors! Please refer to the number reference on the park map for locations.

Main City Parks (available for rent)

#4 Trailhead Park - 101 East Center Street

Features a pavilion, playground, horseshoe pits, open space, bathrooms, electricity, and water fountains. Canoe launch access, and also the start of the Douglas Trail, a 12.5 mile paved trail that ends in Rochester.

#17 Cheese Factory - 101 East Center Street

Tables & chairs included in rental, can be heated, interior bathroom.

#14 Butter Factory - 101 East Center Street

Houses the Borrow-A-Bike program, and seasonal ice rink and pickleball courts located across the parking lot.

#5 Collins Park - 420 3rd Ave NW

Features Playground, Restrooms, Picnic Tables, Parking lot, and trail system access.

#9 Dog Park - East of Center St. and Trailhead Park - 101 East Center St (Open running area, rivers edge, Trail Head access)

#11 Welcome Shelter - 106 1st Ave (Shelter, picnic tables, informational signage)

#22 RV Camping - 4 spots (Electric and Water Hook-ups, Sewer dump, picnic tables, trail access)
#13 Community Gardens - (18 plots, 8 raised beds, rest area)
#19 Brush Dump - (Compost, brush, dirt, wood mulch, leaves, wood logs)

#8 Hassler Park - 828 20th Ave SE - features a playground. Can you find all the spiders? (Hint: Look at the bottom of the slide.) Open year round.
#6 Nature Preserve - 8th St SE - The pond features a fishing dock and a natural trail around the pond. Swimming is not permitted. Open May-October (weather permitting).

#15 Pine Island Swimming Pool - 311 SE Fifth St (New, Zero Depth Entry, Diving Board, Showers, Restrooms)
#16 Tennis Courts - 311 SE Fifth St (Parking Lot)
#20 Z-Trail - 1112 County Road 3 (Horse Trail, Canoe Launch, Parking, Picnic Tables, Fishing, Walking Trail)
#23 Pine Meadows Landing - (Canoe Landing, Fishing)

Southwest

Community Garden

Individual plots are 10 by 20 feet. Raised beds are 4 by 8 feet. There are a total of 18 garden beds, and 14 raised beds in the two locations. Please see the policy below.

Plots are one per family/organization on a first-reserved basis.

To fund the garden the City received a grant from the Minnesota Statewide Health Initiative Program (SHIP), sponsored by Live Well Goodhue County.

SW = 3 – 4’ x 8’ standing gardens
