Facade Program
The Pine Island Economic Development Authority (EDA) offers the Downtown Facade Improvement Program to enhance the visual appeal and preserve the architectural character of our core downtown business district. This initiative encourages commercial property owners within the C-1 Central Business District to invest in permanent, character-enhancing exterior upgrades.
Program Highlights
Funding: Eligible projects can receive a forgivable loan covering 50% of costs up to a maximum of $5,000.
Forgiveness Term: The loan is fully forgiven over 5 years, provided the property is not sold, and the business remains within city limits.
Key Requirement: All projects must receive official approval from the EDA and City Council before any work begins. Funding is distributed as a rebate after project completion.
